Van Hayden Travels to Minneapolis for Dubuquefest & The Battle for Floyd the Pig
Hawkeye Fans, we are packing up the gear, leaving the state lines behind, and heading north!
For the very first time in band history, Van Hayden is taking our act on the road outside of Iowa. On Friday, October 23, 2026, we’re heading up to Minneapolis to play at Dubuquefest at The Hook and Ladder Theater.
Dubuquefest Event Schedule: Friday, October 23
We’ve got an action-packed night lined up at The Hook and Ladder Theater (Zen Arcade Stage) featuring live music, Tri-State trivia, pizza, and prizes. Here is the full schedule so you don't miss a beat:
- 7:00 PM: Doug Collins & The Receptionists
- 8:00 PM: Trivia & Pizza
- 9:00 PM: Van Hayden
- 9:45 PM: Box10
There is, however, one major heartbreak about this show: our beloved Vanbulance has to stay home. Let's be real. Asking our trusty 1994 E350 Road Rescue Ambulance to make a cross-border trek of that magnitude is a little too much to ask of a veteran rig. So, for the first time ever, we’ll be performing without our mobile stage. Don't worry, though. We're bringing all the high-voltage energy of a Kinnick Stadium tailgate straight to the sweet part of the city in MPLS.
Game Day: Spot Us by the Student Section!
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, we’ll be in the stands for the Iowa versus Minnesota game! This marks our first time attending a game together as a band, and we’re going all out. Perfect sweater weather calls for legendary style, so we’ll be posted up by the student section in our full Hayden Fry outfits—white pants, aviators, and glorious mustaches. If you see us, stop us and snag a photo with the band! Just wave clearly so nobody tries to rule it a fair catch!!
Exclusive Merch Drop: The Floyd the Pig Twins Tee
To commemorate our first-ever Minnesota road trip, we’ve cooked up an exclusive, limited-edition t-shirt. For the design, we have twin Hawkeyes proudly standing over our favorite traveling prize, the Floyd the Pig trophy.
The only way to get your hands on this special edition shirt early is to join us at the gig on Friday night at The Hook and Ladder Theater! If you can't make the show, don't worry—we will be releasing the shirt online on our website after the show and game weekend wrap up.
